Wedges
Sturdy like a skyscraper, supportive
like a friend, built like a brick: the heel guaranteed to get you through a
good night is the wedge.
Worn as high as you like – as long
as your balance is up to scratch that is – a pair of wedges can be the gateway
to elegance but without the, frankly deathly, teetering fall at the end of a
wine-fuelled evening. Come on, we’ve all been there.
They’re the perfect addition to a
short, sparkly number; and nude legs keep them looking even more special.
Simple in black suede or stand-out in a colour blocking frenzy (shocking pink,
bold orange and the brightest blue come to mind), the right pair of wedges can
certainly make a lasting impression.
So invest in a pretty pair for that
big night-out you’ve got coming up, and your fellow girls will surely be
jealous when you’re still dancing like Beyoncé after five hours. Or, be a
daring daytime wedge-wearer à la wedge worshipper Rachel Bilson. Either way,
we’d surely all like to resemble one of those utter babes?
