If Disney were to ask anyone to revamp the dreamy Cinderella slipper, it would of course be the King of Shoes Christian Louboutin. With the Blu-ray Diamond Edition of the Disney classic looming, the shoe maverick has been asked to give the rags-to-riches shoe a revamp.
“Isn’t it everyone’s dream to once in your life be part of a fairytale?” exclaims Mr Louboutin. “Walt Disney Studios gave me a wonderful opportunity to live this magical moment. I have been so lucky to have crossed paths with Cinderella, an icon who is so emblematic to the shoe world as well as the dream world.”
At Mr Shoes, we’re very excited to see the final result. We’re naturally expecting the iconic Louboutin red sole and a touch of sparkle, and that should just about do it for us. About to celebrate his twentieth anniversary with a retrospective exhibition at Design Museum London (1st
May – 9th July) in which the thought processes behind this shoe genius are explained, 2012 is shaping up to be a pretty successful year so far.
Already making his wearers feel like princesses, we’re sure he won’t have any problems tackling this dream-come-true fairytale pair of heels.
