Put a zing in your step this season with a pair of metallic shoes. They're feminine, eye-catching and full of fun so it's no wonder an abundance of designers opted for shiny footwear for spring/summer 2013. Take a look at our top picks for inspiration...
At House of Holland and Proenza Schouler, a deep royal blue was made reflective for some truly funky designs - the former were trainer-like flats, while the latter were jazzy high heels. Also optimising snakeskin at the same time, Alber Elbaz sent models down his runway in emerald green stilettos for Lanvin - they were animal-like, they were sky-high, they were sexy. And, finally, it was all about simplistic elegance at Dior with pointed comma heels that featured a metallic, dusky pink strap.

Now the weather's finally perking up you must be more than tempted to ditch those boots and embrace bare toes. New to the Mr Shoes team and very much here to tempt you, our DIANA Butterfly Jelly Shoes are the perfect way to embrace the sunshine.
Available in black, nude or white, these cute jelly shoes feature a statement butterfly on the toe strap. They'd look wonderful with a pair of on-trend boyfriend jeans this spring and come summer you'll be available to wear them with totally bare legs: think denim shorts or summer dresses.

This season is all about packing a punch with something brightly-coloured. Winter has definitely dragged on hence plenty of thick knits, coats and layering on the fashion horizon - a pop of colour, at least, makes for an altogether more exciting ensemble. Walk this way with our just-in SOPHIA Pointed High Heels in bright fuchsia.
Elegant and fun all at once, these high heels are so beautifully shaped and wonderfully comfortable. They'd be amazing on a night-out but for every day wear, pair them with rolled-up boyfriend jeans.
It's a style of shoe that'll forever look good. And if you're ever stuck on how to wear them then look to the Queen of Pink: Miss Emma Stone.

Coachella is over for another year and, once again, we're vowing to visit next time. Both the first and second weekend presented a bevy of beautifully dressed ladies who we'd quite happily trade wardrobes with. Fancy some festival footwear inspo? Take a look at some of our favourite Coachella style snaps from 2013...
Over in California they're lucky enough to grace festivals with sandals and flip-flops - what a novelty. Strappy sandals flocked to the stages as did espadrilles, brightly-coloured flip-flops and on-trend ankle strap designs. On the other end of the scale were ankle boots. Presented with a cowgirl aesthetic, embroidered and studded ankle boots were joined by denim shorts, asymmetrical dresses and fedoras.
And festival season is made complete this year with trendy trainers. Not only are they this season's must-have, but your weekend will be pain-free.

Us ladies have been pining for jelly sandals for quite some time now so it's no wonder you lads want in on the action. The popularity of men's jellies is on the up - not only are they undeniably comfortable, but they're surprisingly easy to style too. If you want to indulge then you've come to the right place. The MILO Jelly Sandals have just landed and you can choose between clear or black.
At a loss on how to wear them? Your starting point has to be The Big Lebowski. Not only did Jeff Bridges' character wear them with total ease, but the legend even came up with the idea himself. And it's iconic, no? Follow his lead and mix a variety of textures and prints all at once. If you prefer to look at high fashion for inspiration then look no further than the spring/summer 2013 offering from Paul Smith - the 66 year-old designer sent models down his runway in brightly-coloured suits and jellies; the perfect smart/casual juxtaposition.
For every day wear, simply pair them with your regular favourites. Do you often just throw on a t-shirt, shorts and espadrilles in the summer? Switch the espadrilles for some jellies and you've got it sorted.

How frickin' cool are these? The just-in SUGAR Denmark Wedge Shoes have so much cool factor, in fact, that we've had to turn the heating up. Their large, curved wedge heel ensures they fit in with this season's penchant for all things chunky - and the zip/lace-up combo is an intriguing one.
We think these wedges would look fab with a midi skirt and crop top this summer, or thick hosiery and plenty of layers later this year. Inject a little femininity into them with some on-trend white frilly socks too. Whatever you decide to wear them with, they're sure to make a bold statement.

If you're after some springtime inspiration then Emmy Rossum is your go-to. The 26 year-old actress and singer-songwriter has been pulling out all the stops lately with flirty, lightweight looks to embrace the new season. She attended the The Onyx And Breezy Foundation’s ‘Saving Tails’ Fundraiser in Los Angeles on Saturday (13th April) wearing a Topshop sleeveless embroidered cotton blouse and vibrant floral pleated skirt. To add an even more summery touch she wore some nude Jimmy Choo Seattle sandals.
Fancy imitating Emmy's look? Though they're very much different in style, our MYRA Cork Slingback Wedge Sandals will work in the same way. They'll look super summery with pretty dresses or top and skirt combos, and they create a great leg-lengthening effect too.
For the perfect finishing touches, copy her to-die-for beauty look - watermelon pink lips to match her manicure, as well as that nostalgic side plait.

If you've been keeping an eye on the latest shoes to hit our men's section, then you'll know it's awash with colour. Eye-popping brogues with a two-tone element make for a seriously cool look this summer, so it's pretty handy that we've got a variety for you to choose from. Our MURRAY Contrast Eva Sole Brogues are available in a range of colour combinations but we're particularly fond of the cobalt blue and aqua pairing. There's also the MANNIX Two Tone Eva Sole Brogues, which come in grey with an apple red sole.
Stuck on how to style these statement shoes? Look no further. These men show just how simple it can be. The best advice is to keep your clothing as neutral as possible, colour-wise. That way your shoes are sure to pop.
Be sure to check out our other just-in shoes - there are even hi-top versions in the form of the ELTON Contrast Sole Eva Boots.

This year it's all about feminine vs masculine, especially in the footwear department. You've got dainty shoes like kitten heels, toe-cap flats and ankle strap heels working it for you girly girls out there and, on the other end of the scale, there are heavy-duty gladiator sandals, chunky cut-out boots and retro trainers working it for Team Man.
From a different perspective, you'll often find feminine shoes being paired with more masculine clothing (boyfriend jeans, dungarees etc) and vice versa for masculine shoes i.e. by pairing them with a floaty maxi dress. Oh it's all very confusing isn't it?
What we want to know is: which shoe style are you?

Put a spring in your step this spring with a pair of our MARY Moccasin Bow Shoes. Positively adorable, these moccasins feature exposed stitching, a bow, floral lining and are available in petrol blue or tan. Wear them with pretty summer dresses and skirts all summer long or - if you just can't wait 'til then - wear them with skinny jeans right now.
And because they derived from the Indigenous people of North America, you could even incorporate other things into your outfits (think crochet, classic fabrics like denim and leather...) for a truly traditional look.

Many buyers often get attracted to how a pair of shoes looks like rather than how it fits them. This is one of the major reasons why some shoppers end up unhappy with their purchase. Before heading to the cashier, it is imperative to thoroughly check the product you are about to purchase, and consider its quality and fit above all else, especially if you’re buying a pair of shoes.
Unlike learning how to play a card game, a shoe that doesn’t fit or is uncomfortable doesn’t get better in time. Poker enthusiasts at Partypoker sure are lucky that they can access their favorite game anytime, anywhere. Novice players can even count on the online poker trainer to help them hone their card handling strategies. Professional players on the other hand, can instantly join the online tables and play for real. There is even an Android app that they can download so they can enjoy a game of poker, blackjack, or roulette while on the go. If you’re not so confident of your card playing skills, then Partypoker is worth a try. While there isn’t an app that would help you choose the perfect shoe (as of yet), some know-how would come in handy. Below are some useful tips in buying shoes:
1. Have a clear idea of what you’ll be using them for. Are you buying shoes for running or hiking? Then make sure to go for a pair that addresses this particular need. You can ask the friendly store assistant at Nike
for some expert advice.
2. Look around. Don’t settle for the first pair of shoes that catches your eye. Who knows? The same pair might be on sale at the next shop you visit.
3. Pick shoes that actually take care of your feet. Over-pronation, is the last thing you would want to happen to your feet, which is the rolling in or flattening of the foot.
4. Not all toes are created equal. Make sure to go for a toe box that has enough room for your foot.
5. Shop in the late afternoon or evening. This is the time when your feet are swollen; shopping during these times allows you to choose the shoes that would feel comfortable any time of day.
6. Finally, “Use the shoes you already own to figure out what works for you, and pay close attention to future purchases to see why some styles work and others don't. There's a reason you find some brands and styles more comfortable, and it's likely that those many of those traits can be found in other brands and styles as well,” according to an article by About.com

Whenever a smidgen of sunshine makes an appearance I make for my JuJu Babe 80s Jelly Sandals. Even if it isn't quite double digits yet. Who says jellies are just for high summer?
I paired them with slightly-cropped pale jeans, an oversized grey marl t-shirt and a 90s-inspired chunky gold chain that a chav would be proud of. Along with summery touches of bright turquoise nail varnish and bright pink lips, I'm finally feeling hopeful for warm weather.

It's so important to own a really good pair of shoes or fifty. Everyone finds themselves in a style rut every now and then, which is why trendy shoes can be utter lifesavers - you'll find that very little effort is required on your part. Take the lovely Olga for example. She's wearing a pair of shoes very similar to our CORIN Vintage Punk Shoes...
She's paired her punk shoes with black wet-look trousers, a simple white vest and a sleeveless denim jacket. With just an oversized black bag and a dainty bracelet for accessories, she shows how easy it is to look cool with basic pieces. Of course her beautiful and stylish hair helps too.

All it takes for Michelle Williams to inspire on the style front is stepping out of her front door on a Sunday and taking the dog for a stroll. The Oz The Great And Powerful actress took Lucky for a walk in New York yesterday and - even bundled up in layers - she looked casually cool.
If you're going to do simple, take note from Michelle. She opted for blue skinny jeans, a khaki parka coat, a chunky tartan scarf, black sunnies (at least there's some sunshine, ay?) and some cool black biker boots. Get her look with our PHANTOM Skull Studded Buckle Boots. These boots are insanely cool, encompassing everything punchy about biker boots along with added skulls for good measure. They're also available in tan.

If you buy a new pair of shoes this summer, lads, make sure it's the CHATHAM MARINE Starboard Boat Shoes. They're rather handsome aren't they? They're slip-on style and are made from top quality suede leather. They feature subtle white stitching, leather soles and lacing, and the Chatham wording on the side. Impressive isn't the word.
As well as the taupe, navy and deep red design (as seen above) they're also available in all-over deep red. Just picture them with classic cut-off chinos and a white tee this summer and... oh, you've already added them to your shopping basket? Great stuff.
